Haiti Team Update 1/26

Grandma Silvernale and the rest of the ‘Tuesday team’ left on the Amway jet about noon today and arrived in PAP safely not much more than 3 hours later (with lots and lots of supplies)!  Sure beats a day of air travel followed by a day of overland travel!!  Seriously though, what amazingly generous hearts the people at Amway have.  We are immensely grateful for the donation.  My boys and I were thrilled to be invited to board the plane.  The only problem I foresee is that my boys may think this is what all airline travel is like (NOT!.)

Troy witnessed our US Navy airlifting a girl by helicopter out to the USS Mercy while he was at the airport to meet the group.  He has always tossed around the idea of joining the service and has told me previously that they wouldn’t take him once he turns 46.  Troy turns 46 in February and with how on fire he is about the good work he has seen from our servicemen, I’m afraid he’s going to try to squeak in under the wire!

I really appreciate all the uplifting emails.

Good night,
Katie
