Per Tim’s phone call: The group went into downtown Port au Prince and saw firsthand the horrific devastation – many buildings leveled and others crumbling. The Cathedral was a very emotional place especially for those who had attended services there in the past. There they saw a backhoe picking up dead bodies and dumping them in a nearby hole. Near the seminary was another big hole with dead bodies. On a brighter note, the group took part in a communion service at Mother Teresa’s Orphange. The building had structural damage, but the children survived. They are sleeping outside, and the Army is going to bring in tents for them. Your prayers are needed and appreciated to give strength to the volunteers and to help Haiti rebuild!
