Today six of us rode in the back of the supply truck to the clinic. Usually when we drive through Port, the people could care less that you were there. When in Seguin, everyone is smiling and waving on the way up the mountain. Today was different in Port in that people were waving and smiling at us. I know that being here is important work, but knowing that the people in Port have opened their hearts towards us is the greatest feeling in the world. *e-mail from Tim
*addition from Paula … I remember well the long bumpy drive up the mountain to Seguin last year … wondering over and over “Are we there yet?” The best part was when we were getting close, and the people recognized the annual medical and dental team. There were huge smiles and waving arms. One elderly woman raised her arms and shouted in English, “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” My prayer for all of you is that you continue to bring joy, peace, and healing! God bless you all!
